On 23^rd July 2019, the Cross-Border Funds Distribution (CBFD) legislative package consisting of a Regulation and a Directive got published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 12 July 2019.

Member States have until 2 August 2021 to transpose the Directive. The Regulation applies from 1 August 2019 although there are various implementation dates for the different provisions.
